Verified ReviewerAnother data breache
I can't include a screenshot and I put that as feedback. Is there any way to add attachments?
I don't believe there is. Could that be something that might be added I don't think it would be a tough feature?
In my case with the review on experian and this email I just got about their data breaches and all their poor excuses why and what they're planning on doing I don't know if it went to everybody or I got it because I was on the list of people who got their data stolen. Here is the link for anybody that wants to see the absolute full report and not just the beginning and face paint of an email https://***/content/dam/marketing/na/thought-leadership/business/documents/2025-data-breach-response-report.pdf
Well we all know that the better Business bureau doesn't get involved they just pass the information along. So they replied three times they still stand by their decision that they won't give me a $24.99 free scan on my dark web because of their data breach.
There's more to this than just the data breach It's something that malwarebytes told me and it seems to be an employee that they say they don't have and they are looking into it which I don't think they are. You all know when we call in they record the messages. Well remember something as a consumer You can use those calls to back up your problem. They're not just for their well-being You can actually request a copy and they have to give it to you under the freedom of information Act the FOIA.
In saying so all they have to do is go in their computer put in a phone number and it will pull up all the calls from that phone number and they can listen to each one. But though I suggested that in the BBB and elsewhere it doesn't seem to be resonating they don't give a *** because they don't care. They're just as bad as Facebook and Google they're too big for their britches.
But in my opinion if some company has been approved by the government to handle most sensitive information of every citizen and every human in the world has data bridges and they just put out an email and I don't know how to put it on here but they're blaming AI that people are using to break into their firewalls and get through. And it says they're planning everything It doesn't say anything special.
I received an email today from Experian about their data breach forecast. I'm not going to copy and paste it's too long but here's the link Go ahead and read it and if you don't think it's BS like I do well let me know and we'll go further. Respond to this review please https://***/thought-leadership/business/data-breach-response-guide
I received a response from the BBB from Experian they thank me FEEDBACK ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️I REJECTED THEIR RESPONSE My response was that obviously they cannot take care of consumers nor take responsibility for the actions of their company nor their computer system and I find that totally incomprehensible actions and that I find it to be substandard and they should take a very serious look at what they've done to their consumers and take action and responsibility
Today is December 6th 2025 I received an email from pissed customer and they stated they sent it to Experian and have not heard back? I sent a response as what I wrote in my original complaint here on December 2nd today is December 6th.
I've had no response on the BBB side nor in here? I think I might do the same thing with every credit reporting agency since I've had all three of them have a data breach at least two times each. If they're going to be in charge of our information private important information they should have a better computer barricade with a firewall.
We're told we need a two-step verification why don't they do like a five-step verification for anybody to get into their computer? Why don't they have one person with an optical scan that nobody can get into the computer?
I have no choice they're only one of only three credit reporting agencies we have no choice just like social media we have no choice Just like the government we have no choice. It's called a monopoly
Has had another data breach. Which is affected millions of Americans across the world.
I asked to be allowed to use their paid service for free since they allowed that to happen again in order to do DARK WEB SCAN,
I filed this complaint with the BBB and their response was and I quote
"we are unable to make manual adjustments on an individual basis.
"
My response would should be the same response any other American who's been affected by this or not Is the following:
"we are unable to make manual adjustments on an individual basis.
"
"I'm a retired customer service in billing consultant and Consumer Advocate.
To Tell me that you cannot make adjustments in your computer manually is totally unacceptable and unreliable and not a 100% accurate statement.
By telling me you "CANNOT make manual adjustments in your computer means either
1. The expert computer programmers and technicians in which you have within your company are not experienced enough and have no manual abilities to change, upgrade your basic functions and MOSTLY and Obvio
- Non
- Obvious inability to manually control their computer
Preferred solution: To let the rest of the world know what's going on what's logical what's not logical and that they aren't the only one that should have this exact same message sent to them

SupporterHaven't received the help I need
Good afternoon,
My name is Rickie Lee Hamilton and I've been trying to update my credit information. I have called 11 times over the past 4 days to no avail.
I've been hung up by supervisors, or placed on hold for more than an hour. I paid my $99 dollars as verified by Phillip but now he will not take my calls. I find this very disturbing! I've talked to Credit click, customer service, a half dozen supervisors, some of which have hung up on me!
various persons stating they can help me, but that's not true. Whom should I speak with that CAN help me. I'm 76 years old and not that smart with technology. I've been on a carousel from day one.
Talk to this person, talk to that person, BUT no one has helped. I guess my next call will be to our corporate offices and speak to the CEO. Your service is deplorable and your concern is lacking.
What do I do now? Please help me get my information corrected so I can lift my freeze.

Verified Reviewer |Erroneous collection
For months, the company failed to dispute the collections I had requested, which caused my credit score to drop by 85 points. Their customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful.
I had to go remove those collections and restore my credit through Creditmason.repair to get back on a good course. To anyone facing unresolved credit issues, I'll suggest you find the company on Google for effective solutions.
- Many lenders use experian results for approval
- Free version constantly encourages upgrade to paid plans

Verified Reviewer |Doesn't update information
I have been trying to get a better credit score. TransUnion has updated my new credit cards.
Experian doesn't. They are way behind. And you can't speak with a representative.
They are very frustrating. They have caused me to be denied many things by not updating us.
- Most everything
Preferred solution: An updated score and my cards on my report correctly
User's recommendation: Use transunion only

Verified ReviewerI am locked out of my account and they will not let me back in
I am locked out of my Experian account and have been told on multiple occasions that I must wait. I've waited months.
I've tried everything they've recommended, from a password reset, identity verification, to creating a new account. After waiting for half an hour to get a human today, I was told my account was 'flagged' and I would have to wait. I have excellent credit (800+) with all three credit monitoring agencies.
I feel like my account is hijacked. I'm trying to buy a house, and this anomaly is causing issues.
- Credit is being held hostage
Preferred solution: My account unlocked and access to my credit file with Experian

Cannot sign in through the automated system tried a couple of other departments, and they sent me back to the auto system cannot reach a live person even tried corporate headquarters back to the auto system again obviously they don't care about their customers. Been with them for years.
Not a way that customers should be treated. They found an effective way to avoid talking to their customers when they need help shame on them.

Verified ReviewerIMHO Experian operates a FRAUD on the public. Their VRS is all but frustratingly incompetent and unresponsive.
there was NO phone number that allowed me access to a live CSR. And every time I had to listen to that ridiculous, stupid welcoming message about how they insure quality - WHICH THEY DON'T. Experian is a bad joke.
- Terrible vru
- Totally unresponsive
Preferred solution: SERVICE to unfreeze
User's recommendation: Don't use Experian unless you absolutely have to but they ARE ALL full of SHIITE.

Wretched customer service
Have been trying to cancel my subscription with them but is impossible to get a hold of a live person. Contact information has changed so can't follow prompts to access account, but one should be able to speak with a live person at a credit bureau, toll free number is automated, and refers you to the prompts...no response from emails, even from upper management...but endless emails continue to pour in about saving on my insurance...
User's recommendation: Don't subscribe to them....ever.

Verified ReviewerI was trying to have a background check for a license I was applying for. I was able to successfully unfreeze two of my three accounts. But Experian was a nightmare. I was stuck in an endless cycle
Of unhelpful and no solution. I called every number I could find in 3 different states. Unable to speak to a live person, I could not unfreeze my account at Experian.
No support

Incorrect information regarding credit reports. No response!
Your customer service is the worst I have encountered in my 75 years. You spend so much time trying to verify who I am that we never get to the problem, and the problem is the misinformation that you put in the customer credit reports!

Verified ReviewerThey have absolutely ruined my credit and any possibility of having a credit score
4 years ago, I legally changed my name. I went to Experian to have them change it with my credit.
They said no problem. And then they changed my name wrong. I had to send the paperwork to them five times, every time stating they didn't receive it, but that was the only way I could get it to them; that was their policy. I even had one young lady tell me she received it and was reading it, yet it still did not correct my name.
Every time I was told to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the correction. I patiently waited a year. Still waiting. They, in turn, passed my credit report and file onto Equifax.
Equifax put a freeze on my credit report because of fraudulent issues, as Experian got my name wrong and didn't match up with my social security number. Still fighting... and they tell me to wait more and send the documents again. I have receipts every time I sent the paperwork; it does me no good...
I had Equifax tell me that the mailroom is in charge of my credit report because they're the ones who get the papers in the mail, and I can't do anything until they get it. I sent the papers on March 24th; it is now the 18th of April, and they still don't have the paperwork. So I still cannot get a credit report. I still cannot apply for a loan because they cannot get my credit report because of these two companies.
And I've done nothing wrong but legally change my name.
It's not fair, and it's not right. I'm still waiting; I have no results as of yet; it's still 4 years.
User's recommendation: Keep your information away from Experian and Equifax they will ruin your life no joke
