Question:

Declined Credit Card Application.

I was recently declined for a Blue Cash Everyday Card from American Express. One of the reasons listed was: There are no credit card accounts, excluding retail cards, on your credit report.

(Experian) I have had a mastercard credit card for approximately 5 years (under my maiden name).

I cancelled this card on 12/28/17 in order to get a card that offered more rewards. Could you explain why this is not showing up on my credit reports?
