Experian's estimated "2 Billion Dollar" Data Breach and did they lie to Congress about it? (A Serious Federal Criminal Offense).

Credit Report Trial Report - REFUND policy is "NO REFUND"!!

BOTH Experian and Court Ventures sold data from their website to, and profited from, a Vietnamese identity thief (Hieu Minh Ngo). Yet to date, neither has been held accountable or taken any steps to safeguard the MILLIONS of victims of their gross negligence and/or misconduct.

Like T-Mobile, we are also incredibly angry with Experian's inability or unwillingness to secure data or prevent misuse and we have urged Experian to make timely notifications from the onset. In addition, our indemnification agreement with Experian required them to cover ALL expenses relating to any issues or misuse of our data caused by them. Yet instead of honoring that agreement, they decided to point the finger at us, refuse to make notifications, cooperate with our investigation, cover any expenses, or quite simply do the right thing. This is in spite of the fact that their VP (Tony Hadley) told Congress they knew who the victims were and would ensure they were protected. Experian would later say that Hadley "misspoke" (You have to be kidding right)? Which part? What Experian does not tell you is that from day one they maintained the database containing the names, states, and/or ssn's of those searched by the suspect, which was stored on their system and not ours. Hence, notifications were not as difficult or impossible to perform as they claim.

The undisputed fact is that unbeknownst to us, Experian was selling data to an identity thief via their website and collecting the cash wires from him without questioning why a so called "U.S. Company" would be sending them cash payments from Singapore. Hence, their suggestion that it is somehow our fault or responsibility is unprofessional, incorrect, and knowingly false. Particularly when the suspect obtained the data from Experian's website (with their approval) and never had access to our systems, which they would lead you to believe. And they controlled access and monitoring to their site, which also allowed the suspect to access multiple data sources. A fact Experian knowingly hides and downplays.

Once again, we call on Experian to act responsibly and to fulfill their promise to Congress. And we call on the Federal authorities to investigate Experian for lying "(or misspeaking)" to Congress.

Reason of review: Data Breach.
