Experian Scam: Not a $1.00 but a monthly charge of $21.95
If you provide your credit card info to them you will be scammed! One of the reasons this is so misleading is the initial $1.00 charge appears as though it is to simply identify you as you so a person can get access to their credit report.
In fact buried on the 2nd page in the fine print is a subscription charge of $21.95 per month.
Originally I went to freecreditreport.com to receive my annual credit reports FREE; however, the Experian website link from the website DELIBERATELY makes it appear as though the charge is only a $1.00 but is in fact a monthly subscription fee of $21.95 (which I understand there are thousands of complaints given this practice). It is unethical and deliberately misleading wich is why I am posting this review to warn other consumers.
Reason of review: Misleading information.
Monetary Loss: $22.
Preferred solution: Stop this practice of misleading people into monthly subscription fees, everyone thinks it is a $1.00 (similar to the USPS to verify an address).
Experian Cons: False advertisement.
